Description
Fairfax County is soliciting bids for a five-year term contract to inspect, install, maintain, repair, replace, and modernize automatic vehicular and pedestrian gates at County facilities. The scope covers sliding, swinging, and folding motorized gates operated by sensors, loops, buttons, or badged access, including emergency and routine repair services, preventive maintenance, parts replacement, welding, diagnostics, reporting, and maintenance of attic-stock parts. Technicians must be trained and proficient in Wallace Gate technology; core services must be performed by the contractor’s qualified personnel, with specialized incidental subcontracting permitted only with prior written County approval. The contractor must provide 24-hour, seven-day emergency response, routine service, trained and certified technicians and welders, required tools and equipment, electronic work tickets and reports, and applicable permits and licenses. The contractor must maintain specified insurance, including workers’ compensation and liability coverage, and provide a Virginia contractor’s license with the Electrical (ELE) specialty. Bids must include all required pricing tables, forms, experience documentation, license information, and other listed submission items, and must be submitted electronically through the Bonfire portal.
