Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation from a small business to replace the North-side education building’s existing 7.5-ton air-cooled split heat pump system. The work includes removal and disposal of the existing indoor and outdoor units, electrical components, controls, and refrigerant lines; furnishing and installing new indoor and outdoor equipment or an approved packaged system; replacing branch-circuit wiring, conduit, overcurrent protection, disconnects, thermostat, and control wiring; modifying ducts; reconstructing attic access; and completing incidental building modifications and cleanup. A third-party electrical inspection is required. The proposed system must provide comparable heating, cooling, and airflow capacity within plus or minus 10 percent of the existing system and meet specified efficiency, Energy Star, ASHRAE 90.1, AHRI, UL, refrigerant, electrical, controls, and warranty requirements. The quotation must include a technical approach and project schedule, at least three recent and relevant projects completed within the past five years, a completed price schedule, a signed SF-1442, and a bid guarantee. The award will be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror, with performance and payment bonds required after award.
