Description
The School Board of Brevard County is establishing a pool of qualified electrical contractors to provide continuing electrical services at multiple district facilities. The scope includes small and large electrical projects, maintenance, on-call service calls, emergency response, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, utilities, materials, installation, repairs, and related project support. Projects may be performed on a time-and-materials basis for work valued at $15,000 or less, or through project-specific lump-sum quotations for work greater than $15,000 and less than $300,000. Projects valued at $300,000 or more may be procured separately. Bidders must hold a valid Florida certified or registered electrical contractor license and demonstrate at least five commercial electrical projects of $15,000 or more completed within the past five years. Responses must include pricing for labor, emergency after-hours labor, and material, equipment-rental, and subcontractor markups. Awarded contractors may be required to provide project-specific performance and payment bonds, respond to emergency requests within two hours, perform work at multiple district facilities, and comply with applicable school security and screening requirements.
