Description
This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for market research to identify potential sources capable of providing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-authorized life-cycle support for the FM-MAN 16V 28/33D STC Main Propulsion Diesel Engines installed on the U.S. Coast Guard's Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) fleet. The support includes OEM-authorized spare parts, depot-level overhaul services for repairable components, OEM-certified technical support, and operational and maintenance training. The U.S. Coast Guard requires new, OEM-authorized spare parts, tools, and kits, and prohibits reclaimed, recycled, remanufactured, or aftermarket parts. Overhaul services must be performed at the depot level. Technical support may be provided remotely or on-site by OEM-certified representatives. Training will cover engine operations for both cutter crews and shoreside personnel. Key components for overhaul and spare parts include cylinder head kits, fuel injection nozzles, metering and distributing pumps, turbochargers, air starters, coolant heaters, centrifugal and rotary pumps, air starters, oil purifiers, and heat exchangers. All supplies and services must comply with applicable OEM specifications, technical manuals, quality assurance requirements, and military packaging standards.
