Description
The Union County Board of Education is soliciting bids for Non-Ethanol Gasoline and On-Road Diesel Transportation Fuel for the Union County School System. This solicitation includes all fees and charges, such as over-rack charges and fuel deliveries, throughout the bid period. Price increases during the contract term will not be accepted. The bid period is effective from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Bids must be received by mail at the Union County Board of Education, Attn: David Murphy, 124 Hughes Street, Blairsville, GA 30512, by Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 1:00:00 p.m. Hand deliveries are also accepted with prior notification to David Murphy (706-897-7050) or Mike Patton (706-781-7233), and must be received by the same deadline. All bids must be clearly marked "RFQ-27-002, Transportation Fuel" on the exterior of the envelope. Bids will be opened publicly on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 1:30:00 p.m. in the Union County Board of Education office. The award will be made at the first available board meeting following the public opening. Inquiries can be directed to Mike Patton at 706-781-7233 or Kody Owenby at 706-745-2322 ext. 1510. The fueling tank is located at 202 Beasley Circle, Blairsville, GA 30512, with an above-ground tank capacity of 6,000 gallons of diesel and 4,000 gallons of gasoline. Estimated annual usage is 36,000 gallons of diesel and 32,000 gallons of gasoline. Deliveries will be made to the Union County Schools Operations Center at 202 Beasley Circle, Blairsville, GA 30512. Bidders must provide a copy of their insurance coverage.
