Description
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is procuring 21 complete patient ceiling lift and rail systems, including ceiling-mounted hoists, XY/traverse and linear tracks, hanger bars, hand controls, charging equipment, mounting hardware, disposable slings, and related components. The systems must include integrated weighing, safety and emergency features, connectivity for usage monitoring and service alerts, and capacities of 550 pounds or 825 pounds. One system must provide adjustable partial body-weight support for rehabilitation activities. The contractor must furnish, install, test, commission, and certify the systems; remove and dispose of 18 existing ceiling lift systems; provide stamped engineering calculations and applicable seismic documentation; coordinate infection-control, structural, electrical, firestopping, and clinical requirements; and provide technical, operational, administrative, and hardware/software troubleshooting training. The solicitation specifies Guldmann brand-name-or-equal products and requires compliance with ISO 10535:2021 and applicable VA requirements.
