Description
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is soliciting proposals from qualified, independent private audit entities to perform audits of the Education Savings Account Program's certified educational assistance organization's (CEAO) internal controls over transactions and compliance with regulations by participants, providers, and vendors. The audits will ensure compliance with applicable law and Program requirements, not less than once per year. Services include review and audit of application records, distributions from participant accounts, and addition of marketplace products and services to provide assurance on accuracy, as well as regulatory compliance and detection of fraud, theft, or abuse. Respondents may propose additional annual audits as necessary. The Comptroller seeks to award one or more contracts for these services.
