Description
The project replaces existing 4-inch asbestos-cement water pipe, which is to be abandoned in place, with approximately 4,450 linear feet of 4-inch HDPE water main. Work also includes covering approximately 1,150 linear feet of existing pipeline with imported fill, installing two combination air-vacuum valves and utility boxes, and installing associated valves, daylight drains, and pumpout drains. The contractor must connect the new main to existing lateral mains and services. The work includes construction, testing, flushing, and disinfection of the water system, along with related excavation, backfill, grading, and utility-locating work. The stated contract time is 90 calendar days, with performance to begin in spring 2027. A stream protection plan, traffic control plan, construction schedule, quality control plan, and other construction submittals are required during performance; these are not proposal-submission items.
