Description
The project involves removing approximately 715 feet of existing fence and installing approximately 1,725 feet of new six-foot chain-link security fencing with barbed-wire extensions, four gates, and associated work. The plans identify multiple fence segments and gate locations, including an alternate for standard rather than Y-style extension arms. Bids are on a unit-price basis, with an anticipated total bid price of approximately $110,000. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and submit bid security equal to 5% of the maximum bid price. The bid package must include the completed Bid Form, bid security, proposed subcontractor list, evidence of authority to do business in Utah or a covenant to obtain it, contractor license information or a covenant to obtain it, and bidder qualification materials. Qualification materials include experience on at least two similar fencing projects within the last five years, project references, and the specified qualification forms. The contract documents also require performance and payment bonds and insurance after award; these are not submission-time requirements.
