Description
The United States Coast Guard is offering mandatory Fiscal Year 2027 cooperative agreements to designated state authorities for recreational boating safety programs. Eligible applications may support grant administration, boating law enforcement, boating education and outreach, navigational aids, boat registration and fees, public access, and construction activities. Applicants must use the provided Program Narrative Template and Equipment List Template. The equipment guidance covers items such as boats, motors, radios, trailers, and utility vehicles, with costs prorated when equipment serves purposes beyond recreational boating safety. Cost sharing or matching is required. The program anticipates 55 awards, with award amounts ranging from $400,000 to $12,000,000; the estimated total state distribution is $126,888,345. Applicants must also provide the required federal application materials and comply with annual performance-reporting requirements.
