Description
The project involves partial renovation of the caretaker's house at Woodlawn Cemetery. Work includes renovations to the kitchen and bathroom, construction of a new laundry closet, carpentry, drywall, doors, painting, flooring, kitchen and vanity cabinets, shelving, a shower unit, and associated plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and accompanied by a bid bond equal to 5% of the total gross bid; cash is not accepted. The project has a 5% disadvantaged business enterprise participation requirement, and woman- and minority-owned business participation is encouraged. Each bidder must execute and attach the Certification Regarding Equal Employment Opportunity. A Statement of Compliance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 is mandatory. A pre-bid conference is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
