Description
The Grand River Dam Authority is soliciting bids for Feeder 9G steel transmission structures and electrical materials for a 161 kV transmission-line rebuild. The scope includes custom galvanized or weathering steel monopoles and H-frame structures, transmission-line hardware, conductors, insulators, grounding components, switches, signs, vibration dampers, marker balls, airflow spoilers, splice enclosures, and 96-count single-mode optical ground wire. Bidders may quote either galvanized or weathering steel; only one steel option will be selected. The updated bid sheet identifies specified manufacturers and part numbers, including sole-brand or no-substitution items, and requires bidders to identify quoted manufacturers, part numbers, lead times, authorized-distributor status where applicable, warranty applicability, and whether items are new or refurbished. Delivery is required by September 1, 2027, with pricing quoted DDP destination and freight and surcharges included. The solicitation evaluates price, delivery, specification compliance, past performance, and ability to meet project needs.
