Description
The City of Waterbury, through its Department of Engineering, is seeking a contractor to realign the intersection of Idylwood Avenue and East Main Street to improve safety. The work includes simplifying the intersection, upgrading pavement markings, adding dedicated turning lanes, reducing lane widths, reconstructing Idylwood Avenue, milling and overlaying approximately 120 feet of roadway, full-depth reconstruction of approximately 35 feet, and extending the sidewalk. The contractor must furnish all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the project. The solicitation requires a mandatory on-site information session, and attendance with on-time sign-in is a prerequisite to submitting a proposal. The proposal package must include the Contract Compliance Documents, Non-Collusion Affidavit and Addenda Acknowledgment, Price Proposal, proposal security when the total price exceeds $50,000, Contractor's Qualification Statement, and CHRO Contract Compliance Monitoring Report. The Price Proposal must be separately sealed and marked confidential. The project is subject to Connecticut prevailing-wage, state SBE/MBE spending-allocation goals, insurance, bonding, and other public-works requirements.
