Description
The City of Deerfield Beach is conducting a Request for Information and notice of intent to designate a sole source for EIMCO sludge thickener drive replacement components. The specified components are Ovivo USA, LLC (EIMCO Water Technologies) Part No. L115759-4 drive control, Part No. 48806A actuating pin, and Part No. 89048A reducer. They are intended to refurbish the existing drive and restore automatic operation at the City's Water Treatment Plant. Interested vendors must demonstrate that alternative components or sources are available and fully compatible with the installed EIMCO drive assembly without modification. Responses must identify the manufacturer and part number for each proposed component and include technical specifications or drawings demonstrating dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and control interchangeability; authorization documentation; and a written explanation of compatibility. General capability statements, catalog listings, or unsupported equivalency claims are insufficient. This is not a request for pricing or a commitment to purchase. If no valid competing response is received, the City may designate the identified vendor as the sole source for two years from the date of designation.
