Description
The City of Evanston is soliciting bids for a construction project at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center involving installation, programming, testing, commissioning, and electrical coordination for new auditorium sound, stage lighting, and video projection systems. The base bid includes loudspeakers, amplifiers, digital mixing and processing equipment, wireless microphones, stage lighting fixtures and controls, a projector, motorized projection screen, video switcher, signal extenders, equipment racks, cabling, raceways, and associated power circuits. The work also includes removal and disposal of existing sound equipment and configuration of four standard lighting scenes. Alternates include a gymnasium sound system and an RF-based assisted listening system with receivers, neck loops, headphones, charging equipment, transmitters, and related cabling. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond and, for the successful bidder, performance and material/labor payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount. Work must reach substantial completion by April 5, 2027, and final completion by May 14, 2027. Bidders must return the listed exhibits and comply with responsible-bidder, prevailing-wage, insurance, local-employment, and M/W/D/EBE requirements.
