Description
The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather insights on best practices for curb management. This initiative aims to modernize curb space utilization, improve street safety, and better manage competing demands across the city's extensive street network. The new Office of Curb Management will oversee policies, streamline interagency coordination, and implement a modern approach to curb space that supports multi-modal transportation, loading zones, micro-hubs, and other public needs. NYC DOT is interested in hearing from curb management and technology companies, Business Improvement Districts, and non-profits or planning consultants. The RFI seeks information on services that support NYC DOT's goals, including technology platforms, operational strategies, financial models, and potential partnerships. Responses will help inform future solicitations, programs, and policies to accelerate effective curb management and innovation.
