The U.S. Navy is soliciting an ordained Roman Catholic priest to serve as a Contract Religious Ministry Professional supporting the Command Religious Program. Services include Sunday and weekday Masses, Holy Days of Obligation, sacramental and emergency ministrations, baptisms, weddings, funerals, reconciliation, pastoral counseling, spiritual formation, RCIA and religious education programs, volunteer and chapel council oversight, administrative support, attendance reporting, and coordination with the Command Chaplain and the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA. The requirement includes 52 Sunday Mass units, 156 weekday Mass units, weekly office hours of 10 hours, and other services as needed. Offerors must have ecclesiastical approval from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, references from their diocese or religious order, relevant ministry qualifications, and the ability to satisfy an installation criminal background check. No classified security clearance is required. The contract has a 12-month base period and three 12-month option periods.
