Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking a procurement for a jet boat, motor, and trailer package. The primary use of this equipment is to support the field program of the California Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit for sampling fishes and associated habitats in various freshwater systems. This equipment will aid in research objectives related to fisheries management, conservation, aquatic sciences, and resource conservation, and will also support the Bureau of Reclamation's Klamath Fall area office. The required jet boat must be at least 18 feet long with a 60-inch bottom width, constructed of aluminum at least 0.160 inches thick for durability. It should include a T-top, glass fold-down windshield, passenger seats, a center console driving station, and ample storage. The motor must be a 4-stroke Mercury 80hp jet engine or equivalent, with a displacement of at least 2.1L and a 35amp/441 watt output. The trailer must be designed for a boat of this size and include guides, a winch, a rear step, and submersible lights. This solicitation is set aside for Small Business concerns and will be awarded based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) evaluation. All quotation documents must be submitted as a single PDF file via email by 1:00 PM EST on Friday, June 26, 2026.
