Description
Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids from its pre-qualified trades pool for a mechanical project converting Goode High School's hydronic heating system to glycol. The scope includes supplying and pumping 5,625 gallons of 100% propylene glycol; providing 21 empty 275-gallon totes; capturing, transporting, processing, and disposing of system water; and providing mechanical operators, project management, startup assistance, air purging, bleeding, and confirmation of proper system functionality. The contractor must secure permits, field-verify conditions, comply with CPS hydronic, HVAC water-treatment, and hazardous/universal-waste requirements, remove construction debris, and repair any damage. The work includes glycol-system cleaning and flushing, water-treatment activities, required testing and reporting, and coordination with CPS representatives. The bid cover sheet must be completed, signed, and dated; applicable MBE/WBE forms, bid security, and warranty information must be submitted as specified.
