Description
The City of Charlottesville Utilities Department is seeking a vendor to supply and deliver waterline products for an in-house watermain replacement project. The requested items include ductile-iron pipe and fittings, tees, reducers, Megalug flange kits, Kennedy or Mueller valves and hydrants, corporation stops, copper tubing and bends, meter setters, field-lock gaskets, valve boxes, lubricant, meter boxes, Hymax couplings, and MJ flange plugs. The pricing schedule identifies estimated quantities for 23 line items, with award based on the total price. Products must be delivered to the Meadow Street work site as coordinated with Utilities staff, generally within 14 days after the Notice of Award. The bidder must identify the products offered and provide sufficient descriptive literature, catalog cuts, and technical details to establish compliance. Products must be new, unused, current-production goods, and are subject to a two-year warranty after delivery. The response also requires completion of the online vendor questionnaire, including bidder information, at least four current or recent similar-goods references, certifications, Virginia State Corporation Commission information, and small-business utilization information where applicable.
