Description
This Sources Sought notice is market research, not a solicitation or request for proposals. The U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate is assessing qualified sources for the FMU-167/B Hard Target Void Sensing Fuze system, including the FZU-60/B bomb fuze initiator, JDAM adapter cabling, retaining ring and lanyard assemblies, and M548 ammunition cans with associated insert material for shipping and storage. The anticipated effort would require manufacturing, assembly, testing, qualification, and delivery of the system at a minimum production rate of 3,000 units per year. The Government does not possess or provide a complete technical data package, engineering drawings, proprietary software or firmware source code, tooling, or component acceptance procedures. Respondents must demonstrate the legal, financial, and technical ability to independently develop an equivalent form, fit, function, and interface technical data package, complete non-recurring engineering, fabricate precision tooling, and perform qualification testing in accordance with MIL-STD-1316 and MIL-STD-331 at no cost to the Government. Capability statements must address manufacturing approach, production capacity, hard-target fuzing experience, safety and energetic-materials quality systems, and supply-chain and obsolescence management. Responses are limited to 20 single-sided pages in Microsoft Word or PDF format and must include specified company, business-size, ownership, CAGE Code, and UEI information.
