Description
The City of Shreveport is soliciting proposals for janitorial services at numerous community centers, recreation facilities, parks, restrooms, and other city locations. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, equipment, licenses, insurance, and supplies to maintain clean and safe facilities. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, cleaning toilets and urinals, mopping and dust-mopping floors, spray buffing, vacuuming carpets, removing trash, replenishing soap, paper towels, and tissue, dusting furniture, cleaning mirrors and entrances, and spot-cleaning walls and baseboards. Services are scheduled three, five, or seven days per week depending on the location, with park-restroom service and twice-yearly stripping and waxing also required. The proposal must include an approach to the scope of work, company experience on five similar projects with references, personnel qualifications, a completed cost proposal, Fair Share Forms 1 through 4, a felony conviction/E-Verify affidavit, proposed warranty information, and any exceptions. The estimated expenditure is $150,000. The contract term is one year from award, with four additional one-year renewal options. Insurance coverage is required, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation and employers' liability, and builders' risk coverage as specified in the solicitation.
