Description
The City of Shreveport is soliciting formal bids for construction of SporTran's Autonomous Vehicle Maintenance and Charging Facility at 1249 Murphy Street. The project includes demolition of an existing asphalt parking lot; construction of an approximately 12,400-square-foot, two-story maintenance and office building; service bays with charging stations; second-floor offices; a wash bay building; covered parking; a standby generator; vehicle circulation areas; communications and technology infrastructure; security systems; and associated site, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, HVAC, and life-safety improvements. The project must support current autonomous-vehicle fleet operations and future charging expansion. The base bid includes the building and related work, with additive alternates for a diesel standby generator, covered parking and sidewalk improvements, and a separate wash bay building. The construction duration is 400 calendar days. Bidders must submit the required bid forms, bid security, corporate authorization evidence, Buy America certification, and applicable Fair Share/DBE documentation. The successful bidder must provide performance, payment, and two-year maintenance bonds, insurance, Louisiana contractor licensing, and federally funded project compliance documentation.
