Description
This Sources Sought/RFI is for market research only and is not a solicitation for proposals, qualifications, or award. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking feedback from commercial construction firms, design-build teams, and non-traditional defense contractors regarding delivery methods and acquisition strategy for a new approximately 8,000-square-foot drive-through depot maintenance shop for non-destructive testing of tactical vehicles, combat vehicles, and vehicle components. The planned facility will include radiation shielding for existing industrial x-ray equipment, upgrades to the x-ray system, space for ultrasonic, dye penetrant, magnetic particle inspection, and laser scanning operations, and demolition of the existing x-ray facility. The project may use Progressive Design-Build, Design-Build to Budget, or Construction Management at Risk under an Other Transaction Agreement. The estimated target price range is $8,000,000 to $8,500,000, with a construction cost limit of approximately $8,175,103 and a programmed amount of $8,100,000. Respondents must complete the Market Intelligence Report/Industry Day–First Look Questionnaire and submit a complete capability package; a capability statement is strongly encouraged.
