The Virginia Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is seeking one Hercules HME-8.5x30 V-nose triple-axle trailer for Hobart, or an equivalent brand. The requested trailer has a 21,000-pound capacity, an 8.5-foot width, an 8-foot interior sidewall height, a 60-inch tongue with adjustable coupler, a 14,000-pound torsion axle plus an additional 7,000-pound torsion axle, electric hitch, spare tire, and bogey wheels. The specifications also require a washable non-skid floor, washable non-skid ramp and flap, an 8.5-foot ramp-door package with transition plate, recessed 5,000-pound D-rings, a 36-inch side door, Polycor exterior color upgrade, EZ Tracks on both sides, and related reinforced roof, wall, and floor framing. Quantity is one trailer.
