Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for evidence impound towing and storage services supporting its Tracy Area Office. The contractor must provide towing, skilled recovery, scene cleanup, secure vehicle storage, vehicle inspections, inventory reporting, and related services on an as-needed basis, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Services cover light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and include applicable tow, storage, and post-storage inspection activities. The contractor must maintain an appropriately secured storage facility, qualified towing personnel, compliant towing equipment, required licenses and permits, and applicable carrier and motor-carrier credentials. The contractor must perform at least 75% of the work and may subcontract no more than 25%. The agreement is anticipated to run from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2028, subject to approval and possible extension, with a budgetary limit of $49,999 and payment based on actual services rendered. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost.
