Description
The 168th Civil Engineer Squadron requires replacement and upgrade of existing windows and screens in Building 3127's third-floor conference room and command suite. The work includes triple-pane glass with a minimum Sound Transmission Classification of 40, fiberglass casements and frames, matching opening and closing functions, wider replacement sills or sill extenders, reflective window film matching existing south-side windows, removal and reinstallation of existing blinds, color approval before purchase, matching paint, and related repairs and testing. The optional command-suite window work is outside the base period of performance; if exercised, it will have a separate 15-week period of performance. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, transportation, tools, equipment, and facilities; coordinate work in an occupied facility; maintain temporary exterior weather protection through winter if necessary; and complete exterior caulking in April or May 2027 if required by manufacturer conditions. The updated solicitation requires a bid guarantee equal to 100% of the quote price and, unless the contract price is at or below the applicable FAR threshold, performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the original contract price. The opportunity is a total small-business set-aside.
