Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering cooperative agreements to support the conservation and recovery of threatened, endangered, and sensitive species and their habitats on public lands. Projects may include habitat restoration, species monitoring, inventory, research, and public outreach. The program aims to streamline permitting processes and reduce regulatory burdens by improving species data and implementing proactive conservation actions. Eligible applicants include state and local governments, tribes, nonprofits, and institutions of higher education. Approximately 60 awards are anticipated, with total funding of $5,000,000 and individual awards ranging from $10,000 to $1,000,000. Applications are due September 11, 2026, and must be submitted through Grants.gov.
