Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is requesting quotations for two commercial off-the-shelf lead-acid, wet storage batteries, each identified by NSN 6140-01-600-9507, with one unit required under each of two purchase requests. The solicitation identifies Interstate Battery System, part number MTP-78DT, as the critical application item and states that adequate catalog data is available to evaluate alternate offers. The batteries must be delivered FOB destination within 20 days after award, with destination inspection and acceptance. Requirements include a six-month, non-extendable Type I shelf life, hazardous-material identification and safety data, MIL-STD-2073-1E packaging, MIL-STD-129 marking, and applicable hazardous-material packaging and labeling requirements.
