Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting bids for construction of the Concord Hills Boulevard Extension from Los Presidentes Boulevard to Lomas Del Sur Boulevard. The base work includes clearing and grubbing, subgrade preparation, reinforced concrete pavement, concrete sidewalks and ADA ramps, storm sewer lines, steel casings, box culverts, curb inlets, junction boxes, headwalls, excavation and embankment, traffic control, roadway signs, pavement markings, barricades, erosion-control measures, trench safety, conduit crossings, and related labor, equipment, and materials. The solicitation also includes alternates for a northbound lane addition, a shared-use path, and a full concrete intersection. The project has a stated construction time of 130 working days. Bidders must submit the completed bid proposal and required forms, acknowledge all issued addenda, and provide a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds at 100% of the contract price when applicable, along with required insurance. The solicitation states that the bid may be submitted electronically through Cit-E-Bid or by hand delivery; mailed, email, telegraphic, and facsimile submissions are not accepted.
