Description
Louisa County is soliciting a contractor to provide on-demand hauling and disposal or recycling of scrap tires from the Louisa County Landfill. The contractor must provide two on-site containers or semitrailers with a minimum trailer length of 45 feet, supply all labor, equipment, transportation, materials, and incidentals, and replace an empty container when a full container is collected. Pickup is required within five business days after notification that a trailer is full, and the contractor must provide a completed manifest showing delivery to an authorized tire-recycling facility within 60 days after transport. The work primarily involves passenger and truck tires without rims, with larger or limited rimmed tires accepted under the stated conditions. Pricing must be a fixed firm price per pickup and include all hauling and disposal-related fees. The contract period is November 21, 2026, through November 20, 2027, with two successive one-year renewal terms by mutual agreement; award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
