Description

Buckingham County Public Schools is requesting proposals for new E-Rate-eligible Category 2 switching equipment and vendor installation services. The scope includes approximately 21 switches with necessary software and licenses, 30 antennas/connectors and related components, approximately 23 feet of cabling, and all associated hardware, licensing, shipping, configuration, migration, testing, and installation costs. Proposed equipment must be new; used, open-box, refurbished, or otherwise non-new equipment will be disqualified. Equivalent makes and models may be proposed with product specifications and documentation demonstrating functional and technical equivalence. Installation services include backing up and migrating existing switch configurations, applying approved firmware, changing default credentials, pre-staging and testing configurations, rack-mounting and powering switches, cable and port labeling, cutover planning with rollback procedures, testing ports and network functions, providing written test results and as-built documentation, and removing and inventorying replaced equipment. Proposals must include the completed pricing attachment in Excel or equivalent format, the applicant name, Form 470 number, SPIN, service provider terms and conditions, and all costs associated with the proposed solution. Proposals must be emailed to all listed Form 470 contacts by December 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
