Description
The U.S. Army is conducting market research for a non-personnel services contract providing ground transportation for family members of Soldiers who are deceased, injured, ill, or wounded. Services will support government-authorized ceremonial events and bedside visits, with transportation in and around the National Capital Region and occasional trips within a 150-mile radius. The contractor must provide all personnel, vehicles, equipment, supplies, facilities, supervision, and related services. The requirement includes 24/7/365 on-call support, service-call response with at least four hours' notice, qualified and licensed drivers, vehicles carrying at least four passengers and six bags, occasional handicap-accessible transportation, airport pickups, waiting services, itinerary coordination, and completion notifications. Drivers must submit to a National Agency Check, and the contractor must be registered with the Defense Travel Management Office Approved Carrier Listing. The draft performance work statement specifies one 12-month base year plus four 12-month option years, with an estimated workload ranging from zero to 70 service calls per month and no guaranteed minimum. This is a Sources Sought Notice only; the Army is requesting capability and market information rather than proposals or pricing offers.
