The National Institutes of Health is accepting applications for an X01 resource access award under the Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program. Selected investigators may submit existing pediatric cancer or congenital anomaly cohorts for whole-genome sequencing and, when justified and available, exome, transcriptome, clinical-grade, long-read, proteomic, and epigenomic assays of tumor or affected-tissue samples. Resulting sequence, clinical, and phenotypic data will be processed and shared through the Kids First Data Resource Center. Applicants must have extracted genomic DNA or samples ready for extraction, appropriate clinical and phenotypic data, and participant consent permitting broad sharing of individual-level genomic and associated data. Applications must include an Institutional Certification or provisional certification, sample information, clinical/phenotypic/demographic data, and applicable family-structure information, along with a research strategy and required NIH application components. No funds are provided; the maximum project period is one year, and selected investigators are expected to ship samples within six months of award notification.
