Description
This construction contract covers infrastructure and security improvements at the Joseph P. Jensen Water Treatment Plant. The scope includes upgrading and integrating video surveillance, electronic access control, radar intrusion detection, ground-sensor intrusion detection, software, servers, lighting, and associated network infrastructure; installing fiber-optic cable; performing electrical modifications; and restoring disturbed areas. The specifications require integration with Genetec Security Center, installation of numerous cameras, access-control devices, radar units, ground sensors, communications equipment, and related power, conduit, cabling, testing, commissioning, training, and maintenance services. The estimated construction value is $18 million to $23 million. The work requires a California Class A contractor license, Genetec certification for the entity installing Genetec-related hardware and software, at least three comparable security-system project references, and at least 25 percent Small Business Enterprise and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation. The contract includes a two-year maintenance service contract, with an optional third year.
