The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service requires six 5 HP, three-phase paddlewheel aerators for aquaculture research. The equipment must include 460/480V, 1,750 RPM WEG electric motors; direct-drive shafts; 45-blade spiral rotors; marine-grade aluminum floats; SMR2 25:1 gear reducers with 5BSH2WTBK-1.1516 taper bushing kits; hot-dip-galvanized rotors, frames, and bands; and an 18-foot mooring system. The aerators must achieve a minimum standard oxygen transfer rate of 27 pounds of oxygen per hour, include a 12-month warranty for material and workmanship defects, and include a three-year warranty on aluminum floats. The requirement is brand-name-or-equal for House Industries Inc. model DDP059TA2253050G. Equal products must be clearly identified and supported by descriptive literature demonstrating compliance with all salient characteristics. Award is anticipated as a firm-fixed-price purchase order, with delivery required by November 30, 2026. Quotations are evaluated using a lowest-price-technically-acceptable approach, including technical acceptability and acceptable or neutral past performance.
