The Maine Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the geopolymer rehabilitation of a large culvert on Route 2 in Mexico, Oxford County. The work includes installation of a geopolymer lining system for a 84" x 68' x 12' culvert, requiring a certified applicator. The contractor must maintain downstream flow using cofferdams, with in-water work permitted only between June 1 and September 30. Traffic control is required to maintain two-way traffic at all times. The project also includes submittal of a safety plan, traffic control plan, and soil erosion and water pollution control plan. The contract completion date is October 1, 2026.
