Description
The City seeks comprehensive maintenance and repair services for 15 conveyances at its facilities: 12 hydraulic passenger elevators, one freight elevator, and two lifts. Work includes monthly visits, inspection, adjustment, lubrication, repairs and replacement of covered components, emergency and non-emergency callbacks, recordkeeping, and performance evaluations. The contractor must provide 24/7 emergency dispatch answered by a live person, meet specified response times, maintain parts availability, and use genuine manufacturer parts unless an alternative is approved in writing. The scope also requires annual governor and safety tests, annual hydraulic relief-pressure tests, annual Category 1 testing, and Category 5 testing, with these testing costs included in the bid. The contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2031, with the City retaining options to terminate or modify the agreement as described in the specifications. Bidders must demonstrate at least 20 years servicing elevator equipment, at least 10 years maintaining microprocessor-based equipment, and provide a list of 100 elevators under similar full-maintenance contracts.
