Description
The project includes renovations to approximately 11,000 square feet in the Smith Building and 27,000 square feet in the T&I areas at Joliet Central High School. Bid Release 1 includes demolition, concrete, structural and miscellaneous steel, carpentry, casework and millwork, roofing, glass and glazing, drywall and framing, acoustical ceilings, resilient and resinous flooring, painting, tile, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Bids are lump-sum and are limited to pre-qualified bidders. A bid bond equal to 10% of the base bid is required; the awarded bidder must provide performance and labor and material payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the bid. The project is subject to Illinois prevailing wage requirements, and substantial completion is scheduled for December 2027.
