Description
The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather details on vendors that can offer Virtual Emergency Care Services. These services are intended to provide immediate access to emergency medicine expertise 24/7/365 through telemedicine evaluations. The vendor must be able to support approximately 1200 potential emergencies per month, enabling real-time interactions between the vendor's emergency medicine provider, incarcerated individuals, and DOCCS medical staff. DOCCS is seeking information on vendors' capabilities and experience in delivering real-time virtual emergency telemedicine care to incarcerated individuals. Vendors should describe their approach, innovative strategies, and provide a general overview of their profile. This includes detailing their capabilities in providing virtual emergency telemedicine care, identifying states and jurisdictions where services have been provided in the last five years, and specifying the agencies that utilized their services. Vendors should also confirm their ability to provide medical orders, educate DOCCS providers and patients, and recommend emergency room visits when necessary. DOCCS will utilize its own telemedicine equipment, currently Cisco's CS-DesktopPro-K9 (Webex-based), to facilitate these interactions.
