Description
The Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive office moving services. This includes labor, equipment, and materials for packing, moving, transportation, and unpacking of office furniture, equipment, and supplies. The scope of work also encompasses the disassembly and reassembly of modular furniture, including reconfiguration and changes. All sensitive equipment, such as computers and printers, must be pad-wrapped. The contractor will also be responsible for the storage of property, removal of surplus property, and disposal of packing materials and debris from government premises. Hazardous materials removal is excluded. Bids will be based on the contractor's rates, with the bid price serving as a "not to exceed" amount. Additional charges for items like parking fees, bridge tolls, and equipment rental (if approved) will be on a pass-through basis with supporting documentation. For moves exceeding 100 miles, mileage rates will apply with prior DOR approval; otherwise, hourly rates will be used. The contractor must provide a move coordinator and ensure all necessary communication with the DOR throughout the project. The DOR will provide an inventory of items to be moved, noting any items of value or requiring special handling. The contract requires the contractor to be properly licensed and insured, including Commercial General Liability with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, Automobile Liability (if applicable), and Workers' Compensation with limits of $1,000,000. The contractor must also possess a Motor Carrier Permit (MCP) or a Household Goods Carrier Permit. The solicitation also includes provisions for Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation.
