Dormitory Furniture Installation and Removal at Aviano Air Base, Italy

This solicitation is for the removal, disposal, delivery, and installation of 102 sets of dormitory furniture at Building 1424 on Aviano Air Base, Italy. The scope of work includes dismantling and disposing of existing furniture according to local laws and regulations, and then installing new furniture. The new furniture must be made of solid hardwood (Oak, Beech, Ash, or Maple), with no fiberboard, particleboard, or MDF. Specific items include a four-drawer under-bed storage unit, a three-drawer chest, a three-shelf bookcase, a three-drawer nightstand, a one-drawer desk, a two-position chair with upholstered seat and back, a slat bed on metal legs, and a fireproof mattress. All materials must be free from defects, and exterior surfaces should be solid hardwood or hardwood veneer. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, tools, and transportation for the entire process. Installation requires access to the facility and must be completed without modifications to walls or floors. The contractor must also provide their own lifting means to reach the second floor if the public elevator is unavailable or out of service. Delivery and installation must be completed within 120 working days from the receipt of order, with installation itself to be completed in 6 weeks. The removal of old furniture and installation of new furniture must occur on the same day for each room. A site visit is scheduled for June 23, 2026.
