Description
The Borough of Sharon Hill seeks a qualified independent certified public accounting firm to perform annual municipal audits and related financial reporting for fiscal years ending December 31, 2023, 2024, and 2025. The scope includes auditing all Borough funds, accounts, activities, and material financial statement balances; evaluating internal controls; reporting findings and recommendations; preparing and filing the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development municipal audit report; supporting required publication and statutory filings; and issuing audit reports and management letters. The Borough does not issue a GAAP financial statement, although full government-wide GAAP statements may be requested as an optional service. Proposers must be licensed and in good standing in Pennsylvania, independent of the Borough, experienced in auditing Pennsylvania municipalities or comparable local governments, and able to provide qualified personnel, peer-review information, references, secure data handling, and the required schedule. Pricing must include separate fixed fees for each required audit, optional pricing for fiscal years 2026 and 2027, and rates for separately authorized services. Optional years are subject to annual Borough Council appointment, appropriations, satisfactory performance, mutual agreement, and applicable law.
