Description
The Louisiana Board of Regents Support Fund is soliciting proposals for the Industrial Ties Research Subprogram (ITRS) and Proof-of-Concept/Prototyping (PoC/P) Initiative for fiscal year 2026-27. ITRS supports basic or applied research with significant near-term potential to develop or diversify Louisiana's economy and requires private-sector or federal-sector involvement, matching support, or a leveraging plan. PoC/P supports science and engineering proof-of-concept activities and prototype development for previously disclosed innovations with commercialization and technology-transfer potential. ITRS applicants may request up to $350,000 over a maximum three-year period, subject to annual limits; PoC/P applicants may request $10,000-$40,000 for a one-year period. Eligible principal and co-principal investigators must be tenured, tenure-track, or full-time research professors employed by eligible Louisiana higher-education institutions. Applications must include the required LOGAN forms, narrative, budget materials, supporting documentation, and applicable letters or certifications. The mandatory Notice of Intent is due before the full proposal, and proposals are evaluated for research or technical merit, economic-development potential, investigator qualifications, institutional capability, and budget appropriateness.
