Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award Comcast Cable Communications LLC a sole-source contract for cable television service and installation at the White River Junction VA Medical Center. Service will provide news, sports, music, and other programming to patient waiting areas, break rooms, and some patient rooms. The justification states Comcast is the only cable television provider serving the facility and that replacing existing wiring and equipment would be costly and disruptive to patient care. The proposed period is one base year followed by four one-year options. This is a notice of intent to sole source, not a request for competitive proposals.
