Description
The Village of Schuylerville is soliciting bids for approximately 10,211 square feet of five-inch concrete sidewalk replacement in 2026. The work covers sections along the east side of Route 4 and Broad Street, with no corner work required. The Village will perform demolition and removal of the existing sidewalks; the contractor must obtain required permits and complete the new sidewalks in accordance with municipal sidewalk standards, ADA Title II requirements, and applicable New York State Department of Transportation specifications. The Village will provide the concrete, curing spray, expansion material, and wire mesh. The contractor must provide construction, supervision, inspection, and proper installation, including use of approved materials and compliance with prevailing-wage requirements. Proposals must include a firm description, relevant municipal sidewalk experience, recent project references, proposed materials and construction process, and a completed Cost Worksheet separating construction, material, and supervision/inspection costs. The bid package must also include the required non-collusive bidding certification, procurement-lobbying affirmation, equal-employment-opportunity statement, and required insurance coverage. Construction is to be completed by December 1, 2026.
