Description
Carbon County Road Department (CCRD) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for asphalt preservation services on county roadways. Bidders will provide a price-per-ton rate for the installation of crack seal and mastic materials, which will be supplied by CCRD. These materials include MAXWELL Products NUVO-CS B or ELASTOFLEX 650, MAXWELL Products GAP MASTIC B, and MAXWELL Products GAP Patch 550. All costs associated with mobilization, traffic control, labor, fuel, lodging, cleaning of cracks with compressed air, road surface cleaning, and material placement are to be included in the bid price per ton. The anticipated contract period is from the expected award date in July 2026 through June 30, 2027. Bids must be submitted to the Carbon County Clerk's Office at 751 East 100 North, Suite 1100, Price, UT 84501, no later than 3:00 PM on July 1st, 2026. Bids will be opened at the Commission Meeting on July 1st, 2026, beginning at 4:30 PM. Bidders are instructed to mark the outside of the sealed envelope with "CCRD Asphalt Preservation Bid 2026". Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Carbon County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and select the bid offering the best product, warranty, and/or service. Prior to contract commencement, the awarded bidder must provide proof of Worker's Compensation and General Liability Insurance. Specifications, Product Data Sheets, and Manufacturer's Application Instructions for the specified materials can be requested via email at road@carbon.utah.gov.
