Description
Renewable Water Resources is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for Division II of the Georges Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility Equalization Upgrades. The work includes temporary bypass pumping; installation and modification of force mains, including an 18-inch force main and aerial crossing; installation of two influent pumps and associated piping; control valves, flow meters, variable-frequency drives, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA integration; tie-in to the equalization basin; and associated demolition, grading, restoration, testing, startup, and site work. The equalization basin itself is being constructed under a separate Division I contract, and coordination will be required at the interface between the divisions. The project is funded in whole or in part through South Carolina's State Revolving Fund and is subject to federal contracting requirements, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Build America, Buy America requirements, and disadvantaged business enterprise participation requirements. The contractor must maintain continuous wastewater flow during construction and coordinate shutdowns with the owner. The project has a 450-day completion period from the Notice to Proceed. A 5 percent bid bond is required for bids exceeding $100,000, and 100 percent payment and performance bonds are required after award.
