Description
The University of South Alabama is seeking hourly labor rates for an annual plumbing services contract. The university will supply fixtures, piping, solder, cleaner, and glue; the contractor must provide other materials needed to complete the work. Work includes demolition of existing fixtures and piping; rough-in and top-out of domestic water, sanitary sewer, chilled and hot water, natural gas, air, and vacuum piping; and installation of plumbing fixtures and valves. The contractor must provide state-certified plumbers and apprentice/helpers, with certification proof provided before work begins. Before each job, the contractor must submit an estimated cost for approval and provide daily timesheets for approval and signature by the requesting department. A bid bond or cashier’s check of at least 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and payment bonds are required at contract signing.
