Description
The University of South Alabama is soliciting sealed bids from pre-qualified contractors for a new addition to the Mitchell Cancer Institute in Mobile, Alabama. The addition will tie into the east side of the existing facility and house an Elekta linear accelerator within a heavily reinforced concrete vault equipped with radiation shielding. The work also includes construction of restrooms, exam rooms, nursing stations, work rooms, technology rooms, storage rooms, metal-framed and sheetrocked interior spaces, and a color-matched precast concrete exterior. Bids must be submitted on the architect's proposal forms. Prequalification is required, and bidders exceeding the applicable state licensing threshold must provide evidence of a current Alabama general contractor license.
